Playing Never Have I Ever, but the struggling artist edition if you may.
Join the YD team today along with artist Robin Aslett, who will answer a series of questions that she gets asked daily as an artist herself. Born and raised in Cambridge, the 22-year-old is currently studying a master’s in art and Design at the Cambridge School of Visual and Performing Arts.
Robin believes she was born a creative and considers herself “the woman that makes random shite.” Today, will find out if she’ll be as creative with her answers as the way she is with her art. Let the struggle begin! 😈😈😈
FYI, Robin recently collaborated with Jellyfish Theatre to design and create a gorgeous little 1980’s caravan for their children’s performance of ‘The Wagon of Dreams.’ “It was such a challenging project, but it’s the most fun I’ve probably ever had with my work” says Robin. “We did all the painting and decorations on the van in a big field and we met with every type of weather imaginable.”
This project seemed like one of those where you end up realising
you're actually capable of doing anything you set your mind to.
"I was able to come up with solutions quickly and just be more
confident in my own knowledge. Also absolutely wingin' it goes a
long way too", says the artist. "I was constantly saying to myself:
'I have no idea what I'm doing' which was true, but I accidentally
knew a lot."
